Personal Information

Mrs. Rashmi Sharma, born and brought up in the foot hills of the majestic Himalayas , was influenced by her multi-talented mother, Usha, all through her impressionable growing up years. Encouraged by her husband Mr. Vijay Sharma and family to give expression to her artistic inclination and abilities imbibed from her mother.

She completed her graduation from Isabella Thoburn College, Lucknow. She did her Masters in Archaeology from Lucknow University and did Visharad in Sitar from Bhatkhande and Fine Arts from Rekha Chitram where she is now a Faculty member.

In her artistic journey she has captured impressions of life inspired by the versatility and vibrance of nature and impressionable moments, hues and colours of life.

While no medium is better or significantly easier to master than the other, each creates a unique feel and gives a distinct character to every piece of art that she creates.

Her art work is a balanced experience of absorption and self-awareness. With each of her creations her artistic sensitivity evokes thoughts, memories or ideas to the viewer. Her work naturally invokes an emotional, visceral response.
